A professionally monitored system transmits alarm signals to an Alarm Response Center, a sophisticated 24/7 call center that can rapidly notify police, fire or medical authorities during any emergency.
Around-the-clock professional monitoring is especially important because calling 911 on your cell phone won’t connect you to the correct authorities unless you’re currently located within their jurisdiction. The professionals in our monitoring center will alert the correct authorities no matter where you are.
Alarm.com sends all the security system signals over a dedicated, secure cellular connection for fast and reliable communication. In an emergency, we instantly send a signal to a central monitoring station, managed by Infinity Security. There is professional monitoring personnel at the central station at any time of day or night to receive real-time alarm signals from Alarm.com systems and dispatch emergency response.
Alarm.com processes non-emergency alerts and sends them out based on the rules you define. For example, you may choose to get an alert when your door is unlocked between 12-2 pm.
Many existing security systems can be upgraded with Alarm.com.
Alarm.com is compatible with equipment made by DSC, GE Security, Interlogix, Qolsys and 2GIG. Wireless sensors and communication technology make it very simple to upgrade, and there is no need to open walls or run wires to get the most cutting-edge solution.
Your Infinity rep can work with you to get the most out of your existing equipment while bringing your system up-to-date.
With professional monitoring, once an alarm goes off, highly trained professionals in the Alarm Response Center will begin contacting a list of emergency contacts that you’ll create after you activate your monitoring. You can update the list anytime.
You’ll receive notifications through your mobile app, When an alarm goes off, you and your emergency contacts will automatically receive your choice of voice calls, texts and/or email notifications while we work on your behalf to contact help if it’s needed. You can also quickly declare a false alarm if necessary.
It’s common for some insurers to provide a discount of up to 20 percent on homeowners insurance if you have a professionally monitored system. Be sure to check with your insurance company for more information.
